Memorial Day

Memorial Day is not about the beginning of summer vacation. It's not even about honoring all those who have served in the armed forces. It's about honoring those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of liberty and freedom.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright
From afar drawing nigh,
Falls the night.

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky
All is well, safely rest;
