Later I asked about flying, thinking maybe he just wanted to go flying. Yes, he wants to go flying. And jumping.
And today, after verbally requesting "more I can fly" several times throughout the day, I also discovered this new drawing of his:

He's been studying on his own drawings that have lines indicating motion lately. He added in those motion lines above his parachute, indicating that the parachute and bunny are going down. And the bunny paratrooper is saying, "Jman."
Yep, he really wants to go flying, and jump out of an airplane. And I'm game! But unfortunately my little bit of research online seems to indicate that most places require you to be 18yo or older. Bummer. He's gonna have to wait on starting his skydiving career. But maybe we'll still see about getting him a hop in a small plane. That's a very doable thing! Although Habeeb rightly pointed out we'll have to make sure he's seated somewhere where he can't open a door and jump out! THAT would be bad!

Snort! Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane? LOL!!!!!!! Did you do airborne? I didn't! Too chicken!
ReplyDeleteI think James' drawing is AWESOME!!!!
I didn't either--too LAZY, and didn't want to give up leave, either. But Habeeb did, and has his silver jump wings. He's funny--he's got his small craft OIC pin, his silver jump wings, silver dolphins, and NFO wings. I'm married to a mutt! :)
ReplyDeleteSo, what does he think about Peter Pan and Dumbo? Oh, there was a book my sixth grade teacher read to us . . . Black and Blue Magic http://www.amazon.com/Black-Magic-Zilpha-Keatley-Snyder/dp/0595321828/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1241955957&sr=8-1
ReplyDeleteHabeeb just has an addiction to collecting pins . . .
ReplyDeleteHey maybe you can help his need to fly by finding a High Dive this summer that he can jump off of.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought Rhonda
