But no, THIS hang gliding was at Lowes. The project on Saturday was building a little hang glider. Jman was NOT having a good morning. We really thought we'd be picking up the project to bring home and try to build later in the week.

Hang Gliding
Gee, wouldn't it be awesome if we had actually gone hang gliding? We SO have to put that on our to-do list!
But no, THIS hang gliding was at Lowes. The project on Saturday was building a little hang glider. Jman was NOT having a good morning. We really thought we'd be picking up the project to bring home and try to build later in the week.
But we were wrong! Jman went back to the work room, found a seat, and got to work. Way cool! He finished the project, gave a Tiger Woods arm pump, and then took off out of the room. He's apparently developing a little escape routine when finishing--running away to the water fountain, then returning and getting his project, and then running away again, looking over his shoulder for a chase game. But hey, I can live with that for now!

Do you think that Jman built a positive episodic memory with the bird box and that feeling of competence helped him get right down to business?
ReplyDeleteThat is terrific!!!! Snoopy dancing, again!
Definitely. And it wasn't just the bird box--I think it began with building the jewelry box at home a few days prior. There were were also some physical environment scaffolds that I think helped him have success at the Lowes here vs the Lowes near us in FL. Yet another blog post I need to write and elaborate on!
